Blog 40/2008 – Paris’ Roses Are Wilting

Tonight I wanted to throw my shoe at the TV again. Having said that, at least it wasn’t an episode focused on “Blue Light Renee” (because she is dancing around Nathan like a teenage girl at a Blue Light Disco”) and Nervous Nathan.

Instead, the episode was focused on Paris. Now as you know if you’ve been playing along at home, Saxon (remember him? He was the bloke who liked UFO’s) gave Paris a hand grenade over a week ago where BB took all of Paris’ possessions. Mind you, Kombi has been in the Nobbi van since Terri gave him his hand grenade on day 2 or 3.

BB called Paris to the DR and gave her a mini task. He gave her some glasses with two roses attached and quoted the expression “looking through rose coloured glasses.” In other words, BB wanted Paris to see if she could be positive about everything and anything. So in other words, BB wanted Paris to be like Mr Gaspo (Travis). If she passed this task, she would get some of her stuff back.

As Rory and other HM’s pointed out later, Kombi is still in the Nobbi van and has not been offered a chance to come back into the house. He only gets to come in the house for evictions and during the lockdown prior to FNL. He has asked to be allowed to come in for the Wednesday family dinner but has so far been denied. The best BB has done is to allow him to have a mobile streaming images from the dining table.

So why is BB discriminating against Kombi? Why is BB discriminating in favour of Paris? That has got most of the rest of the HM’s very angry! After an afternoon of an over compensating Paris, the HM’s (even Kombi!) were called into the DR and allowed to vote on what (if any) stuff Paris should get back. It wasn’t clear if the task had anything to do with it as most of the HM’s were campaigning on the “why should Paris get her stuff back, Kombi’s still in the Nobbi van” and “insert Paris’ bad character traits here”.

Meanwhile, Paris was watching the screen from the lounge. I wonder if she had shoes if she would have hit the screen with it? Much yelling occured in the DR, Ice Cream (Dixie) appeared to be the only one supporting Paris. She is all over the place, this Dixie chick! BB said that the HM’s couldn’t make a decision so she left it to the Head of the House. Now you’ll remember that the HOH was Paris Too (Rebecca) after she cheated on FNL. She got evicted and Nervous Nathan should have got that role as he came second (as the actress said to the bishop!) but for some reason, Paris Too was able to give the task to Alice. Alice decided that she did “give it a red hot go” in the task but overall Paris shouldn’t get everything back. Alice said that she can get some powder.

After this, there was lots of discussion. Someone (finally!) implanted a voicebox and vocal cords in Cardboard Boy (Ben) and he had a rant in the Nobbi van. Rory had a rant as well and even Bee-YUNKA wanted to yell in an aggressive manner (me paraphrasing her words). Meanwhile, Paris was crying a river and saying that “everyone hates me”. If she is in the bottom 3, she is gone, I think. Enjoy the Paris show while it lasts…..

So are the house right? Yes, they are! The first mini task should have went to Kombi to try and win his way out of the Nobbi van. Paris can wait. And Ice Cream’s task seems to be having no impact at all. Weak grenade, BB!
